Extraordinary girl
i'm extraordinary! nah, just kidding..lol! that's the song that got me through this morning when i was freaking out about my driving exam today. something vaguely comforting about the way Billie Joe sings "she's an extraordinary girl..in an ordinary world" haha.
yes, vic finally went for her driving test today after 3 months of "break" from driving lessons at college and one week plus of driving lessons just before the exam. man, the tension i went through days before today. >_<
but....i can sleep clearly now because i. have. passed!!!! >D big achievement, wei! you know how one of the biggest elements in a scary movie is suspense? well, today started with waking up at 5 in the morning, then snoozing til 5.30(because i realised i don't need that much time to get ready) and the driving school aunty picked me up at bout 6.20. was falling asleep inside her car while she drove around picking up 4 other students. and when we finally got there, we had to wait. yeah, wait for about 1 hour plus for them to get stuff organized and call our numbers to collect our information cards then more waiting while they call out your number for either the road test or the slope test.
i was pretty blessed. mine started with the road test and was called pretty early. the examiner was friendly (possibly a little too friendly.. -_- kept asking all these personal info questions..hmm) and passed me quite highly even though i wasn't that sure of myself..lol..nevermind, as long as i didn't endanger anybody's life, right? ;)
ok, half te tension gone. now for the slope test. a little more waiting, then, my number is called along with a few others and i have to sit at a tent to wait my turn. it shows what a procrastinator i am that i was the last of my group to go since we have a choice of whether to go or allow others to and well...eheheh. but! i passed that and parking and the 3 point turn too! muahahah...i may now road hog and speed! look out, world! or maybe just Malaysia for now.. :D
on the other hand, i viewed a few cases on how you can fail the road test. the first one was this guy who went before me. he came back with the examiner driving and his friends asked what happened so he said, "i forgot to stop at the second stop sign. no cars what, so i went la" hiyo..so wasted..but, lesson learnt, i remembered that. ;)
in the second case, in my opinion, it really wasn't the guy's fault. he stopped at the second stop sign (the one the other guy didn't..lol) but when he was trying to get onto the busy road, some idiotic driver sped past and caused him to stop the car on the line. the examiner then said "you can't stop on the line." i was thinking, then what? become superman in a minute and reverse the car? or maybe he should just let it be and crash into that guy to 'teach him a lesson.' and after that tell the instructor, "sorry, bang, cannot stop on the line." really, sometimes people just don't make sense. and that guy's friend, a girl whom i befriended there came and told me that that was the same examiner i got. >_< thank God, i wasn't in such a scenario..but when it comes to that, let's just thank God i passed. or not. ;D
